The room was good-sized with a particularly nice view of garden. The staff were really helpful and were always there to help. The location was convenient and ideal, I reached the metro within 5 mins walk on foot.
Some people working there were appalling.

The rooms were charming, with Wi-Fi and a TV - perfect for a posh lady like me. And having a balcony was just the cherry on top.
The occasional free aroma of bleach in the air. How delightful.

Superbly located hostel with easy access to major attractions and amazing tapas bars and restaurants. The accommodation was spotlessly clean each day, and the proprietor was incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff were kind, understanding, and even allowed us to check out late without any charges. The rooms were exceptionally well cleaned, and the Wi-Fi connection was great. The beds were super comfortable. The central location allowed us to easily walk to all the main sites and attractions. The staff, although mainly speaking Russian, were still very friendly. The rooms and private bathrooms were clean and in perfect condition. It was great value for money. We were able to check in late in the evening and leave at night due to our early flight. We found street parking nearby which was free overnight. The room was cleaned every day, and the bedding and towels were fresh. The owner, despite not speaking English, was lovely and we were able to communicate with basic words. our stay at this hostel was mind-blowingly amazing!

The rooms were so attractive with outdated furniture. I loved having free Wi-Fi to scroll through social media while watching a fuzzy flat-screen TV. And who doesn't enjoy a balcony overlooking the noisy street?
Oh, how I adored the experience of hearing every noise from outside through that charmingly thin balcony door. Absolutely delightful.

Great value for money with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore the city on foot or by a short metro ride. The staff, though not fluent in English, were friendly and helpful.
The morning meal could be improved by offering a wider variety of options.

I recently stayed at Hostal Villamanez for a few nights during my trip to Madrid. The location was perfect, right in the center close to markets and pubs. The rooms were clean and equipped with fresh sheets and towels. The landlady was very friendly and interesting, making sure my comfort was a priority. The bathroom was modern and clean, and the room had a quirky charm with its dated furnishings. The hostel was also conveniently located near the start point for the HOHO bus and other tours. a very nice and well-managed place to stay.
Totally recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, close to transportation options and popular attractions. It was easy to reach from the airport and conveniently located near the train station, metro, and airport express bus. the hotel was also within walking distance of the Prado Museum, Retiro Park, and Plaza Mayor, making it a great choice for exploring the city. the room and bathroom were very clean, and the Wi-Fi was reliable, which was important for staying connected during my trip.
One downside of the hotel was the lack of an elevator. I had to climb several flights of stairs to reach my room, which was a bit inconvenient, especially with luggage.
